< title>girlfriend< >

I built her a website for our monthly anniversary. She asked why I couldn't have just written her a poem or something. I wanted it to be interactive, I said, pulling up pages of favorite restaurants, reviews of the film we saw last week, photos from the day at Golfland. Thankfully, she hasn't taken a closer look at the source files. I'm not the best at coding.

  1. You’re a douche.

Ok, this poem is interesting because of the steady voice here. There’s a real sense of character in which is what I would consider a flash fiction piece. We actually get to know the characters very well in the story. And there are also a lot of feelings here, all feelings that the reader can see. This helps make the poem believable and the audience is willing to travel along with the reader and believe them.

  2. Obviously the turn or catch is "she hasn't taken a closer look at the source files..." but I don't get it. What is in the source files? Monthly anniversary--that's funny.
